RSDS (Regional Sustainable Development Summit)
  Policy Forum on Science and Technology for Sustainable Development
          Shirakawa, Japan, 19–20 May 2006        

The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) in its efforts to sensitize and generate public awareness on the global issue of sustainable development had its First Regional Sustainable Development Summit as a part of its WSDF series, during 05-06 October 2006 at the Toyota Shirakawa-Go Eco-Institute, Japan.



The summit was organized by the courtesy and hospitality of Toyota Motor Corporation, Japan, and was honored by the presence of Dr Shoichiro Toyoda, Honorary Chairman of the Toyota Motor Corporation. Shirakawa, Japan proved to be a spectacular and an ideal location for all the participants to focus on the issues on the agenda.
